A Hero is Born

Grow your character and attacks by killing enemies and spending points in this action side-scroller game. This project was my first attempt at creating an action style game as well as a skill tree.

Points of Interest:
  • Created a skill tree and upgrading system using Unity C# to provide agency.
  • Conceptualized melee and ranged attacked using Unity C# to give players a variety of combat experiences.
  • Designed and implemented all the interface elements of the game such as the main menu, upgrade menu, and HUD.

Shifter

Gain, use, and combine different powers to change the properties of terrain. Explore different levels and figure out which powers to use to escape the cave. This was my first game made in Unity.

Points of Interest:
  • Introduced four unique mechanics and elaborated on them to create a balanced player experience that aligns with the game's concept.
  • Created five levels focused on using the game mechanics together to engage the player through puzzle design.
